Pyromancy in NG+
Pyromancy only scales with the level of the Pyromancy Flame, and I have an ascended Flame +5. I'm in the Crystal Cave right now, on my first playthrough. The weaker enemies usually die from 1 cast, the stronger ones 2-3. My question is, since pyromancy doesn't scale with a stat and the enemies get more health in NG+, does pyromancy basically become useless? Because I'm sure the enemies won't die from 1 cast in NG+, ++, ect.

the pyro int scale is only for the pyro "punch"

I don't think you understood my question. My question was if pyromancy becomes useless in NG+ because it doesn't scale with a stat.

Pyro NG++ here.

1) There is less difference between NG++ and NG+, than between NG+ and NG.
2) It besomes as useless as everything else. The correct question is actually "will pyro still be my top dmg if I level up my offensive stats up to softcap?", to which the answer is "No, in most cases".
3) I don't bother using pyromancy vs weak enemies. The reason to be a dextrous pyromancer is to do good DPS while spending almost no stamina on that. This mostly shines on bosses and very fat enemies.

the pyromancy is not useless in the ng+. but you will need some more casts. if you need one fireball in the ng, mostly you will need 2 in the ng+. later in the ng++ is the difference not so big.

Val pointed it out on his 3rd point, you will be able to deal considerable damage while not having to spend stamina which you might rather save on some fights for blocking or more extensive dodges.

Cast speed scales with dex, so that's what you should go for to make it worthwhile.

No, I didn't say that. I'm not even in NG+ yet. That's why I ASKED a QUESTION.

A max flame is equivalent to a high fth darkmoon talisman or high int logan's. Still subjected to the increasing health of higher NGs just like everything else. Answer is pretty much no.

do you see the stats screens? where each item has its stats displayed?
is there anything like - this variable depends on NG+ + +.?
it's not

so if you have weapon wiht 500 ar, it'll do 500 ar in NG, in NG+ etc..

besides upgrading your flame the way you know, there's nothing else you can do about it; it's also OP when used right during whatever + cycle..

Dark flame and power within is always usefull, whatever + you are at. And like others already said: get more attunement slots. Chaos +5 will allways be powerfull enough to remain valid. But you will not depend on it as much, because of your skill and knowledge gained. I say it never becomes useless.
