Which one is better? Chaos Blade or Quelaag's Fury Sword?

I'm a dex build so i think both of these suit my style but I can only forge one. Which one is better???

Really depends on the user.

Stat wise Chaos blade is better on paper

However, what really matter is the moveset. It won't matter which weapon you use if you don't know how to use it to it's full potential

Quelaag's fury sword is great for NG and that's about it. A lot of bosses are weak to fire and as a new player the health drain from chaos blade is a pain to deal with. However in NG+ onwards it becomes pretty bad.(PvE only)

In pvp it's not too bad at lower SM levels (30-50) but at higher levels it becomes almost useless, imo.

Chaos blade(as long as you can manage health drain) is better in every situation.

Both of them do as they're both chaos weapons.

Both of them also rely on DEX to scale, though Fury Sword can scale with STR while CB only has DEX, but the STR scale is only E.

If you are a new player I'd say Furysword since the health drain of Chaos Blade will be a pain if you don't know what you're doing.

PVE, furysword for vanilla NG. Doesn't matter what build. If you can meet requirement and maintain decent humanity, it wrecks everything. Don't listen about it being Dex. The damage is so small, it's kinda negligible later.
Chaos blade for PVP. You'll have 10+ when you start PVPing. Strongest of all katanas. R2s are not as good as other katanas.

you need to have stats for chaos blade - dex, you don't need it for furysword (albeit you need 10 humanities for good output), which rules out chaos blade from lower level chars and makes elemental uchi superior choice

The moveset for the Chaos blade is that of a standard Katana with a sweeping onehanded R2 attack. The lifedrain is petty painful if you dont know what you´re doing so expect to kindle a few bonfires before attempting bosses. The Fury Sword has the moveset of a general curved sward, The falchion is the best comparison imo. The Damage is pretty good in NG and wrecks basically everything ´till the final boss, but is pretty much useless NG+. Its a question of short-term or long-term investement. I myself prefer the chaos blade, especially since it openes up a mini-sidequest that is basically a homage to Demon´s Souls.
