Dark Souls crashes after the first cutscene
So since Bloodborne is out and everyone is streaming it I decided to go back to Dark Souls again. I never finished it and stopped at the dark underground city I think.

But now I have problem. I have the Dark Souls prepare to die edition (on Steam) but after the character creation and cutscene I get a loading screen and once that finishes the screen turns white and I receive a pop-up saying "DARK SOULS.EXE HAS STOPPED WORKING" or something along those lines.

Anyone know how to fix this? I can't find any solutions for this new version. Since Dark Souls lost it's GFWL integration and does something with Steamworks now.

- I deleted the GFWL programs on my PC, but that didn't help.
- I set the game to beta mode in the game properties.
(SOLUTION) - I turned AA to "OFF" and now I can play, weird. As soon as I turn it to "ON" in-game the game crashes again.

Had a problem with my HUD not being present, but that can be activated by pressing the "Right CTRL" button.

Hope this information can help others.

You can start Dark Souls and see the main menu? Then go to options and turn AA (Anti Aliasing) to off, at least that solved my crashes. I don't know what to do if Dark Souls crashes as soon as you launch it in Steam though.
