Which shield is better?
Heya guys im kinda new to this game and wanted to know which shield was better: the Dragon Crest Shield or the Knight Shield. Which is better in all around defense?

The knight shield is actually terrible, so...not that one.

If you're going to fucus only on physical def and stability,there ae my 3 advices for you:
Heater shield 2.0
Balder Shield 4.0
Silver Knight Shield 5.5 I think

Oh yeah i just beat the bell tower gargoyles so im not far into the game :)

don't upgrade your shield if you have no good one

hollow soldier shield has good stability (6 less than silver knight shield) and it's very light

You can buy the heater shield from the merchant in undead burg and farm the balder shield on the balder knights from undead parish

If you can get the balder shield from the knights in that area, that's probably the best available at that stage.

how about kite shield/balder (same weight, 75 stability..)

heater shield. finished the game with this shield.. and has a good parry frames for pvp

Neither, if you want a decent shield then either buy the Tower Kite or Caduceus Kite Shield from the blacksmith or use the Balder Shield that drops from the red cape knights. Those will easily last you until the end of the game if you upgrade them.

Hollow Shield is slightly worse than the Tower Kite. Knight Shield is even worse than the Hollow Shield. Dragon Crest is a mediocre shield with extremely high fire defense, but you will be unable to upgrade it until much later.
