Is Dusk a part of Manus?

I don't know much about the story, but I thought I had heard somewhere that Manus lived on through Dusk after you defeat him. I wasn't really sure if you could kill Dusk when she's lying in the boss room, which you can, and Elizabeth also disappeared although she left behind her 3 mushrooms. Outside of losing them I don't really see any other reprocussions.

But yea, if anyone knows anything about the lore could you enlighten me? I find this stuff interesting ^^

No. The people of Ooacile dug up manus under the direction of Kaathe. Then the abyss started mutating everone into the bloatheads. Dusk was just being held captive by Manus. You can find her in her original spot by where you killed the hydra.
