How important is Dexterity to a sorcerer?

I heard it changes your cast speed, is this correct? I can't find anything on my character sheet to signal that like DS2.

yes it decreases cast time. for pve i wouldnt bother too much unless you love the spells that have a long cast time (ie the various dark spells).

Just starting out and I'm pve. Is it worth getting a few points or not?

Sorcery? not much. The decrease cast time is only good for pyromancy IMO, the only reason to have high dex on a sorcery build is to use magic crystal weapon+any dex weapon. Or maybe something like the demon's catalyst+dark sorceries for the physical damage, but going full int and logan/tcc does more magic damage anyway.

And the cast speed is only if you have 35-45 dex, less than that has no effect.

then as roasted said, dont worry about dex. you got enough worries with your other stats :)

What other should I focus on other than Vit? I've put a few points in Vit and End and a couple in Str so I can use the club and Int and Attunement ofc. Thanks for your answers btw

vit, end, int. those are the important ones along with attunement (but you usually dont need that much compared to the first three)

Get some more points into endurance and get the moonlight greatsword. Requires low stats to wield (10 dex and 16 str) and scales with intelligence. Fun strong attack and decent poise break. Not great against dlc bosses, but you can wreck them with magic anyway. Until you get that you can use the reinforced club (or battle axe, also not bad) with a buff, or upgraded to fire/chaos; combined with sorcery it should serve you fairly well.
