Ultra Greatswords?

Are there such a thing as "Ultra Greatswords" in Dark Souls 1?
I recently started using them in Dark Souls 2. And i just moved over to Dark Souls 1 once again.
And i really want to use a greatsword in this one aswell.
So if someone can tell me, please do so! :)

I think that's all of them. You can nab zwei immediately after leaving tutorial.

Ah. I hope the moveset of the Greatsword is just as awesome as in Dark Souls 2.

u can actually find the zweihander pretty early too. Its right by firelink.

Imo, it's not. I would even say this game has the worst ultra moveset of the 3 games. Str and heavy weapons really suffer in this game.

Still, UG Swords are freakin' awesome, especially in PvE. In PvP they're often too slow though.

How do you mean? I like the sweep r1 over the half sweep in to over the head of Demon's Souls and the straight down straight up of DS2.

I'd say the normal greatsword and zwei are the best UGS in dks1. Greatsword is my personal favorite, it's got devastating thrust attacks.

Unlike in Dark Souls 2, all the UGS have the same R1. Which is not really a bad thing, since I hated the vertical R1 in Dark Souls 2.

Zweihander and Greatsword have the best R2. Demon Great Machete is next best as it is still buffable. BKGS is next worst, unbuffable but still powerful. And Dragon GS is worst, no scaling, 50 str to one hand, and it has an R2 that depletes durability, meaning you are stuck with the slow R1 for normal foes.

The Dragon Greatsword is my favorite, but the Zweihänder is the most effective UGS for most situations.

The greatsword in Dark 1 has the most telegraphed attacks of the 3. The R1 and R2 are incredibly telegraphed. The running attack is slow and seems to need dark wood to make true use of. The rolling, I'll admit, it actually quite good.

In Demon's, while the R1 and R2 are mostly the same speed, the running and rolling are bit more unpredictable. The running for 2H comes out almost instant and the rolling is a delayed AOE slam. For 1H, the running comes out quicker than the Dark 1 and the rolling is the same as 2H running. The R2 can combo to R1.

In Dark 2, the attacks just seem to come out quicker. 1H is actually quite good. R1 come out the fastest among the 3. The R2 is still the same speed but can chain to hit twice. The rolling is a spin attack that's okay speed but the length makes up for it. The running attack is quite bad unfortunately. For 2H, the R1 seems to come outa a bit quicker than other ultra's sweep. Running is a little slower than Dark 1, but the slower recovery of all weapons make it a bit easier to hit with. Knockdown is just a bonus (nerfed unfortunately). R2, can't find any uses for it.

TL;DR: The others are just faster. The quick recovery in Dark 1 hampers the performance of the slow moveset. Demon's at least had some quick attacks. Dark 2 is actually a bit faster and it helps that attack recovery is overall slower.

The Zwei of Dark Souls kicks the sevend shades of sh!t out of every UGS in DkS 2. It's soooo good. It's a bit clunky and slow in PVP against players who know what they're doing, but it's extremely good for PVE. That R2 will pancake most enemies and stagger the rest. It's also fast and you'll hit most enemies before they even have a chance to reach you.
