Is dark hand good?

It looks cool. Decent for pvp?
Rate 1 - 10 1 being worst 10 being amazing
I'm asking for a rating because we all know things aren't always as they seem in terms of stats.

As an overall pvp shield (not just physical) 1- 10
As an offensive weapon 1 - 10

I'd appreciate honest feedback.

if we look at the sheild stats, it has 80% block of everything wich is very good for elemental defence but not physical defence, you still take 20% chip damage

as a fist weapon you do like 100 ar. and thats bad anywhere after undeadberg.

as for the graple, its HARD AS HELL to get anyone but the AFK with it. but when you do its the greatest feeling in the world.

and for looks its bad ass!, and weighs nothing, so if your that tight on weight... then...

for got to mention it has no deflection, so no enemy will stagger when they hit it, and has very little stability, most hits will cause you to deplete your stamina

Well if your build is that tight on weight you're probably planing to dodge most attacks so you can just keep it in your of hand to parry. Unless you rais it up as a sheild most people might not even realise you have it and it's better than trying to do a bare-handed parry.

Nope, both end just as the grab animation starts if you time it perfectly, so the target is going to get away if they spam roll, which they usually do when they get parried or staggered.

There is a certain way to steal humanity from players who are not AFK... Protip: some gestures are long and will allow you to do whatever you want with the host as long as he's in gesture animation...

Or just time it right. It is very much possible to do it. I used it as a pvp weapon in both hands while doing low slvl invasions. It was pretty easy to steal humanity. Of course it is useless on higher lvls but it should be good enough till anor londo pvp.

I'll just use grass crest shield. 90 or 95 physical protection is good enough and I like the stamina regen.

i do like the grass shield, its got a little of everything, but master of none.
