Divine Dark Sword?

I have it infused with lightning but my character's faith is pretty high and I know the sword doesn't have very impressive scaling, so I figured I'd take it from +10 to a +5 element.

Because of my high faith I was thinking Divine instead of Lightning since to my understanding elementally infused weapons don't scale?

I like this sword. Its moveset is cool and I want to get good use out of it.

Darksword is a quality weapon so it's the best when you have 40/40 str/dex.
Elemental path removes scalings.
Divine/magic will split dmg and weaken physical scalings, you will be fine in pve excepting archives but will make sword weak in pvp.

I tried +5 Occult Dark Sword @ 50 Faith. Can't say it was impressive

Glad to hear it! I kept reading things made a year or two ago with people saying it was mediocre so I wasn't too sure how to handle it.
