Can't kill ghosts; No Transient Curses.

I ran out of the freebies they give you and I guess the ghosts I did kill dropped none. The female merchant and I aren't on talking terms, I'll say that much. On the wiki there is only one other way to get one besides the marchant past the ghosts and that would be corpse behind said ghosts. Might have already looted that. Is there a way to kill them cerebrally, or without me actually doing ♥♥♥♥ because I can't?

Kill Artorias, make his sword, kill ghost with that sword.

Or get cursed by lizard reptile thingy Basilisk.

you can curse yourself to fight ghosts, and when you get to the sealer (cant remember his name), you can have the curse broken

or wear full havel's and make a run to Ingward

1) Use Oswald to un-aggro the female merchant and buy curses.
2) Curse yourself w/Basilisks in the Depths and get to Ingward to buy some from him. Alternatively you can put on Gold Serpent Ring and grind the ghosts for Transient Curses or Jagged Ghost Blade.
3) Run like heck and hope you make it to Ingward.

Mainly because it's a waste of the Soul of Sif which can be used to make Greatshield of Artorias. It also has crazy stat requirements that make it difficult to equip.

Cursed greatsword will change build too much. You're right it's about the journey, but by recommending that weapon you're just making OP's journey worse than it should be. Wouldn't want OP to do lots of grinding do you? Only upside is getting the stats to go abyss sword.

Here's a list of what you can do:
1. kill Sif and get cursed greatsword, requires crazy stat distribution
2. get cursed and face the area with half HP
3. grind souls to get forgiveness so you can buy again

After you get the ability to damage ghosts, go grind them with high item discovery.

that "corpse behind ghosts" is actually reachable without getting involved with these ghosts
just run from the elevator in fireling shrine towards new londo ruins, there should apper 2 first ghosts, turn 45 degrees to the right , continue running till you're in front of a cliff; here behind the wall on the right you should find corpse with 2 transient curses; beware - those 2 ghosts will follow you here, but you have enough time to get the curses and apply them or homeward back

Oswald is dead. I forgot to mention that this is my first play through of the game and when I found out you could kill any NPC some black cloud of insanity came over me and when I woke up the next morning nobody liked me. Guess I'm making a run for that corpse. Another question, at which point should I have killed that Hellkite dragon? I've beaten Quelaag, and my friends talk about getting the drake sword way before that.
