Is the forest covenant worth joining?

I'm currently in Chaos Servant for the hidden passage and chaos pyromancy spells. I got everything i wanted so i couldn't care less if i betray them. I'm not big on PVP but i really want to try it. Invasions didn't go so well at first and i only managed to kill 1 guy i invaded and 1 guy that invaded me, the rest i sadly lost because i panic a lot. Despite that, is forest covenant viable for PVP? No one actually attacked me when i was in darkroot basin and i spent some time there too. Or should i just join the Darkwraiths? I can't join the Blade of the Darkmoon since i killed Dark Sun Gwyndolin for the Brass Armor.

Also, what if i join the Forest Hunters and abandon them later for the Darkwraiths and then start New Game+?

I'm having tons of fun as a Forest Covenant member. :D So i would recommend it

the forest was the most active PvP area so its good for that, the rewards can be decent aswell, Chaos cov is really only useful for the shortcut and spells. DW gets humanity for invading, so if youre hurting for that thats an option. Either are good, but beware of ganking.

If you don't mind gankers, it is the most active covenant, just after darkwraith's

Remember that you need to open shortcut before leaving or you can't open it lol.
Not that it matter because blowing firewhip through middle of doors fixes all solaire problems.
Basin=/=forest, only behind crest doors part count.
Don't worry about panicking, you will learn how to remain calm within few matches.

I already opened it. I still haven't figured where it is since i didn't go through the demon ruins yet.
Hell, maybe i should just kill him and get his armor. It's not like i was the good guy in this playthrough.
You mean the part where you go through the valley of drakes instead of undead parish, by the big hydra? I still haven't placed the crest yet and i have been on both sides.
Also, about invading. Can i still invade even if i cleared the area boss?

No, I meant that you HAVE TO physically open the doors in demons ruins before leaving covenant.
No I meant place behind doors that you need key from blacksmith, this is forest hunter's ground and only here.

The upper forest then, by Alvina. But i see no sign of activity here. No one ever invaded me and i roamed the area quite a bit in human form before killing Sif.

Activity depends on your lvl and time zone, low lvl with early european morning will give you free hand to do whatever here without invasion.
Yes you can reach it before lordvassel but that's not easiest thing for beginners.

It's the easiest way to get the Ring of Fog and the Dark Wood Grain ring, and then random upgrade materials. If you need none of those there isn't really any point.

I joined at like lvl 16 and went, meh, let's just mess around.
First invade, some dude in Gold-Hemmed with the Lifehunt Scythe dies to the thief Forest Hunter npc.
I get 800k souls.

Really? The only people i have seen were groups of child masks with stone armor camping in the woods waiting for someone to spawn for ganking or pvp, which in itself wouldn't be bad, but isn't there an arena for PVP purposes or something like that? Not to mention they are probably SL 120 and builds just made for pvp, way above mine level and skill. And don't start me on the lag, it's horrible. I hit someone, nothing happens but he bleeds all over the place, he hits me and cuts half of my hp every time even tho i'm blocking with a silver knight shield and he is in front of me.

So yeah, no more forest hunting for me. I thought it would be fun roaming the woods, defending the forest from innocent bypassers who just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. But camping there for pvp for the sole purpose of killing forest hunter isn't that much fun for me. I got the Fog Ring / Dark Wood Grain ring and left. Maybe on NG+ when i reach SL 120 or play a bit better.

The game itself is fairly easy on it's own. If i die, i usually die by slipping of a ledge or missing a jump, but yeah.

Forest was always like this and in DS1 you always invade infinitely up so seeing 125SL is common in pvp areas.

This covenant REQUIRES other people to have dragon scale in their inventory to see your sign so most people just invade with craded red eye orb.

not enymore its empty i thought so many people would come back to ds1 cause the remasterd version is coming out so i thought maybe people will come back to say their final goodbyes but nope never been so empty
