Crystal Knight Shield

I got this as a drop in Dukes archive. It seems decent but wanted to know if it was worth using as i like my +5 Balder shield and Black Knight Shield

Just look at the numbers, you want more stability and less weight. The balder shield is really good if you upgrade it more, but so is the BK shield. The shield in question might be better BUT you cannot repair it apart from upgrading it.

Knight shield is damn overweight.

the 'not repair' bit is a bit wick. with that in mind i will work on keeping my knight shield and balder shields in good nick and upgrade them at every available chaance. cheers

Unless the additional 2 weight are a serious issue for you, the Black Knight Shield (+5) is better then Balder's because of higher magic absorb for all kinds of magic. Balder's +14 has the same stability as BK's +5.

At +15 Balder's is only 1 stability ahead, and it'll cost a titanite slab to get there. BK's also has the best Fire absorb available.

The Silver Knight Shield is another great alternative. Weight 5, stability at +5 is even a tiny bit better then BK's, less fire absorb but more magic absorb.

thanks. good to know. i will ditch the crystal shield fer now then and proceed as normal.
