Crystal Halberd Help

I used my crystal halberd during the ornstein and smough battle (beat first try ggnore) and by the time Super Smough was down to the last few hits, I got a message saying that my crystal halberd was at risk. I tried reparing it at both a bonfire and a blacksmith, but I was unable to. Anybody know why this is?

You can repair Crystal weapons by upgrading them, which resets the durability. Once you reach +5 you can turn it back into a normal weapon and restart the Crystal upgrades again.

Actually, Crystal weapons can't be reverted, either. Otherwise correct.

If you use a crystal weapon enough, it will be broken forever. You can delay it by upgrading each time its durability gets low to reset the durability. Or using East Wood Grain Ring to slow down the breakage of the weapon.
