No Solaire in Demon Ruins?

-I've summoned him for all available fights so far.
-I spoke with him in Anor Londo by the fire.
-I did not speak to him at the altar after Anor Londo, as I was told this is optional.
-I have Chaos Covenant +2, so I didn't fight the Firesage or Centipede demons. Instead, I took the shortcut through the roots/hallway, killing the bugs and getting the helmet on the way.
-I proceeded directly into Lost Izalith, killing the Titanite Demon.
-I then ran back to the fire across from the Firesage gate so I could turn human, thinking that's how I needed to see Solaire.

No sun bro. =(

From what I can Google, it seems that so long as I kill the bug before entering Izalith, I should be good. Also it seems that speaking to him after the Centipede Demon is unrelated to whether or not he'll appear in the tunnel.

He didn't turn hostile; he just simply isn't there.

Any thoughts? I'll answer any questions I can about my playthrough.

Did you check the area after centipede?

I think you misread my post. I didn't fight the Centipede. I figured since I have the Chaos Covenant shortcut, I could skip 2 bosses and beat the game that much sooner. Is there a way to get to that area other than through the Firesage gate?

Unless you have a plan for crossing about 200 meters of lava you have to kill centipede. That's the next place he should show up. You may have screwed up his sequence if you killed BoC already.

I haven't killed Bed of Chaos yet. The furthest I got into Izalith was the floor that colapses. I killed the plant things and that's been it.

So he won't show up in that hallway until after the centipede? Guess I gotta fight 2 more bosses, then. Dang. Oh well.

I'm fairly sure, then again NPCs in this game tend to do whatever they like so maybe he just bugged out (or died?).

Haha. Yeah, that seems to be a pretty common thing. If the suggestion of "if ____ doesn't happen, quit and reload" is a frequent piece of advice, there's a problem.

Thanks for your help. You only have 900 hours in the game, but I guess I'll take your word for it.

I have done a smiliar run, skipped firesage and centi, but I have already killed BoC. Solaire in my game can be found at the Sun Alter currently.

I haven't been to Gwyn yet so not sure if his sign is down there but I will go check the now and edit in what I find.

EDIT:

Solaire's sign isn't there in the kiln and he is at the Alter still. Perhaps beating firesage and centi will allow the questline to progress normally.
