Hope this helps!
1st, unsinstall both "Microsoft games for windows - LIVE redistributable and Microsoft games for windows marketplace" and REBOOT your pc.
2nd, download the GFWL client over at http://goo.gl/72EXZ0 but DONT INSTALL IT, srsly DONT INSTALL IT, yet!
Final step, sort of, now you need to right click on the gfwlivesetup.exe and choose "properties" and under the compability tab (sorry, I use a translated copy of windows so I'm not sure what its called exaclty in eng) you must check the box to run it in compability mode for the system you use. In my case I'm running windows 8 so i hade to check the box for windows 8 (you HAVE to run it in compability mode for the setup to work)
Now that you checked the box to run the gfwlivesetup.exe in a compability to match your system you must also check the box to run the file as administator.
Now you just have to click apply/ok and then proceed to install it. I right clicked the .exe and choose to run as admin just to be safe and it worked for me. :)
Just click launch when the setup is completed and sign in/w.e, I encounted a small problem when i first started Dark Souls and had to sign in to gfwl and it crashed but second time all worked fine!
I hope this helps!
I've been followwing yout instructions but it doesn't show for Windows 8 !?!
Am i the only one...
