Black Screen Resolution Bug Fix

I tried a little something to figure out exactly how you can go about fixing the bug when you cannot see the screen. For those who do not know exactly what I am talking about, read on.

Many are experiencing an issue where they adjust the game resolution, to get a black screen. They reboot, and now they are completely stuck and can not see when the game boots up, and not even DSfix can do much about it.

To fix it, you must move through the menu's without seeing the screen.

For a controller (I used an XBox one), attempt doing this:

Wait for the game to boot.
To adjust for this, you might need to hit A or Start a few times.
Once you hit Start and hear the sword/metal sound, you are in the main menu.
This indicates you are exactly one above the PC settings menu.
Tap down once and hit A.
You should be in the menu now.
Hit up 5 times.
You should be directly over the resolution option.
Hit left or right once or twice.
Then hit up once from there.
Then hit A.
Doing all these instuctions in order on the controller moved my resolution setting to another option, allowing me to see the game.

Or you could go to

C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\NBGI\DarkSouls\DarkSouls.ini

and edit the resolution to match your display

Woah didnt realize how old this post was
Anyway, it seems 4096x2160 is bugged so i'd avoid selecting that.
Just a heads up to anyone returning.
