Havel ring lets you carry much more weapons and heavier armor and still fast roll. ninja ring, like said above, gives you a much larger invincibility window (As well as the fact that flipping is faster than a person running). Alot of players, no offence to Japan/ China, love to abuse the flip to roll/chain backstab.
Pretty much this, pre-patch if you intended to stay on light roll dwgr gave you more availible weight than Havel did while also giving you the ninja flip because you could still ninja roll at 50%.
Right now however dwrg only works if you are at 25% no longer giving you that free 25% weight.
