Undead Merchant resurrection?
Hello there,
I killed the Undead Merchant because a seal told me to, but now I realized that I'm lack of very important items in the game, a box that repairs my weapon or a key that opens the door before Taurus Demon.
Is there a way to resurrect him somehow?

I thought he dropped the key if you killed him. You can also get the repair item later in the game. Also, stop reading guides, this is how it always seems to end. Hey, use the drake sword for the entire game! Hey, kill Andre!

There's no key needed to get to Taurus Demon, that door you're trying to unlock leads to Havel The Rock, who will wreck you right now.

I have been using a rapier that is broken now and I'm not able to use any more, it's a pity fact taking into account my high dexterity stat. Though the merchant dropped the master key, I'm still unable to open the door that leads to Haven The Rock, with my pretty good parry skill I would take my chances to beat the sh!t out of him.

He dropped a Residence key, not a Master key. They're different items, and open different doors.

You could always run back to Firelink and visit Rickert at the bottom of the elevator for a quick repair.

You can't resurrect dead characters. Any. So be very careful whom you kill.

Also, I think the "seal" the OP is referring to is the player made marks. To which I have to say: Be careful who you trust.

First of all different people have different opinions on how the game is better. Killing the undead merchant isn't wholy uncommon, since doing so gives you extremely early access to the very strong Uchigatana (he drops it). However, it does eliminate the merchant permanently, along with everything he does, while you can simply aquire the same weapon later on. Additionally, if you do kill him, it's traditional to buy out the most important things he carries first... Specifically the repair box...

Second, here's a life lesson: People lie. Nobody said the messages other players write HAVE to be helpful. In fact that's very much in characters with the rest of the game...Not everyone's out to help you. Be careful who you trust. Some people will lie specifically to get you in trouble. I've ran accross a player marking once warning me of a "dangerous foe", enticing me to backstab the knight in front of me... That "dangerous foe"? Solaire of Astora. The first time you meet him he has his back to you, making him a prime target for a backstab if you thought him dangerous. I've also lost count of how many "Try jumping" and "shortcut ahead" I've seen aiming off of cliffs. While there are SOME such shortcuts in the game, they are fairly few, and a lot of people use that knowledge to get players to kill themselves.

All his stuff is replaceable and not important to the entire game, anything "unique" he drops on death.

It does make buying Lloyd's talismans more expensive, though.

I didn't know people leave those marks, I thought they have been written by developers to help players to adopt. Now I understand how reckless I was. Maybe I need to start the game from the beginning

While nothing he sells is unique (except the key, and the sign I think, but those drop when he dies) he IS, IMO, a very nice commodity to keep around. Far outweighting the advantage of an early Uchigatana, except maybe for speedrunning purposes.

I find him extremly usefull. He sells you a bow and arrows right at the start. With a bow you can easily pull single targets from large groups or kill enemies from large distance (even some bosses, but that's kinda cheese) and of course he helps you to get the famous easy start with the Drake Sword (I only got it in my first playthrough and didn't used it for long).

You can buy the repair box from an upcoming merchant, not much further into the game.

well you can bring ONE back from the dead :3

P.S. Like how DrewDupe and a few said you can get the repair box form someone else and that dude you killed I don't think he has anything that he doesn't drop or can get from someone else. (well if you got the PC port since the DLC thats comes with it has another seller)

*gasp* Not the blessed reinforced club!

But really, if you find yourself pining for the undead merchant, it'll take ya 10 mins to re-roll and get back to him with a freshly minted character (with a little practice).
