On an original xbox controller, what should I map L and R to?
I'm using XBCD to use it on a PC (directinput) and x360ce to make it compatible with dark souls

There's a difference between the original xbox controller and the 360 controller: RB and LB (or black and white).

The original xbox controller only has the triggers and can use black/white (below a/b/x/y on the controller s) as the bumpers, but I don't know how the game is played since I don't have it yet so what should I use? L and R as LT and RT (with black/white as bumpers) or L and R as LB and RB (with black/white as triggers)?

The controls for the 360 have the L3 button click unused, I'd make use of that so you can use it while still controlling movement and camera with the sticks.

Attack (RB on the 360) to RT. Then I'd put the arrow/bolt selection (RT on the 360) to Black

The left side is more problematic, you'd probably be better putting block (LB on 360) to LT and moving the parry (LT on 360) to the Left stick click. Or vice-versa depending on your playstyle - blocking vs dodging - and what you feel comfortable with.

do block and parry work as enable/disable or do you have to hold these buttons down?
