Game stuck at start screen.

I have played this game on another PC in the past, I liked it.
But I just reinstalled it on my new laptop and it doesn't actually want to run, the game gets stuck at the press start screen and refuses to go further, I can't even access the graphics settings menu and can't even access my characters.

I don't understand why it behaves like this, since even though I have a laptop, I can run games that are much more demanding than dark souls and in the other PC, it ran fine.

Is there any way to fix this? I found a solution, but it didn't work, sadly.
I have not tried to reinstall the game yet.

The game is only hard when you first play it, once you master it it isn't.

I barely left undead asylum, still trying to beat the boss.

How so? It's the easiest boss in the game.
The game is not that hard, It's been hyped up as that.

I was able to get it to work finally, I don't run perfectly though.

How am I supposed to kill it with only my hands? Im really thinking about giving up at this point.

That works really well. Another method that works is to rename the "movWW" folder on your game directory to just "mov".

I did that and right after that, the game worked.
