Elite Knight Armor and other middle weight armors.

I wondered what people thought the best middle weight armor set might be. I've always traveled light but when I use heaver armor I love the Brass set. I heard somewhere the Elite Knight Armor was the best when fully upgraded - Is there any truth in this?

It considered the most balanced suit, between protection, poise, and weight.

i use elite knight set, if you uprade it fully it has the same defense as havel set but fewer poise

A combination of armors is probably better than an armor set, but you could probably get away with using an armor set.

Full Catarina set has 55 poise which is nice but is still one point from perfect.

Specifically resists a 2-hand running attack from greatswords, hammers and axes. 53 works fine apart from that.

As a set, they have the exact same poise. The only reason to take the knight set over the elite knight set is because you want to shave off 1.8 weight. The elite knight set has either better or equivalent defenses excluding bleed resistance, which the knight set has 1.4 more of. Please don't spread misinformation.

Just put in your stats, select the amor's you are wanting to choose from and it will tell you some of the best armor combinations for the best stats you are looking for.

Black knight set, best set in the game. Silver knight set is nice aswell.

My favorite setup for a high-poise build is Brass Plate+Helmet with Havel's Gauntlet and Leggings. Gets you to 80 Poise, dont really go by the stats.. they're nearly useless unless youre going for like a max stat, low to medium stats make little difference.
