and its available right at the begining of the game, and once you learn your way around you will find alot of weapons laying around that you could probaly make good use of
super easy to get if you know the shortcuts or have divine weapon to defend yourself with
also fast and powerful is a dificult combo as most fast weapons deal less damage in exchange for more agile movesets
If you're new to the game, yes, it is VERY hard to get. You can grab an Estoc with no problems. You can do a suicide run into the Cemetery for a Zweihander or Winged Spear (I like the Winged Spear myself, but the Zweihander is VERY popular). If you have the Master Key you can also suicide run for the Astora Straight Sword and Dragon Crest Shield if you are a Faith build. There is the Uchigatana that you can get by killing the first merchant you meet. There's a morning star in Firelink Shrine as well.
If you're looking for the end-all-be-all weapon of choice for PVE, then the sky's the limit. You'll likely be upgrading multiple weapons down many different upgrade paths. Be sure to use the Boss Souls only on forging the appropriate Boss weapons and not on leveling your stats.
I think a good all around sword you can get fairly early is the Claymore that the red drake "guards" on the bridge. It's not all that difficult to get once you run past it and light the bonfire at the entrance to Undead Parish. I rather like its move set.
The Halberd you can find in Undead Parish is also nice. You'll just have to try it out to see if it fits your style of playing.
Easy to get, decent power at +15, can carry you through most of the game if you know what you're doing.
There is zero reason to have that much strength. Elemental modifications remove any scaling from the weapon, meaning the zweihander gets no benefit from strength beyond the requirement to wield. Even the regular +15 zweihander has rather poor scaling with Strength. With that much, you'd be much better off with the Demon's Greataxe or another weapon with good strength scaling.
I +15'd the Demon's Great Hammer just to see if it would be better, but it's only slightly more damage, but it might be a nice weapon.. just too slow for my taste so you actually need to be careful when attacking. You can use resins on it for elemental enchanting, though.
Too bad I don't have much in the way of PvE advice.
