It looks too dark

I installed the DSfix and all works fine, but the screen is too dark. Is that normal or should I configure something?

Did you set the gamma low?Also,your monitor's brightness might be the problem

Not working, I already set the brightness to maximum in the menu's game.

Some resolutions tend to make the game too dark for me as well. Try your native screen resolution. Do you have f.lux running?

Check if you set the in-game options set to full screen mode, If you turn off full screen then the brightness gets fixed but you have to play the game in windowed mode, to put it full screen you have to fiddle with some simple options from the DSfix.ini

You should look over the dsfix.ini settings and make sure it's configured properly.

Also, the game is supposed to be very dark in some areas. Post a screenshot.

Finally, I managed to fix the problem. Some user told me how to configure the dsfix.ini and now the game it looks brighter.

no ideea what fffxx is ? Hmm i think it's Finaled Final Fantasy20 , they will stop the franchise at game number 20 :(

btw for your safety dont get random settings & files from strangers to patch dark souls lol :P and scan stuff with www.virustotal.com files/sites ^_^ . i have over 900 games on Steam so a little paranoia ..erm healthy skepticism , never hurts :D regarding your security and/or zombie apocalypse....or alien/dynosaurs etc apocalypse :D
What i hate the most about the freakin DS 1 failed port is the Insufficient Frame-Rate for Online play,returning to main menu ,soemething like that lolz ...and i can play Dying Light & Witcher 3 & GTA 5 .... way to go NAMCO BANDAI & From Software !!! re-make dark souls 2 and make dark souls 3 but never finnish up your first game in the franchise, pffffffffffffff so professional style,much doge....such wow..
