regarding the titanite demon in lost izalith

Is this one actually supposed to respawn or did i get a glitch here?
I had just killed the titanite demon guarding the shortcut from demon ruins to lost izalith, then i boned back to the daughters of chaos bonfire to recover estus for the boss fight, as i get back to the shortcut I notice the titanite demon respawned, I killed him again and he still droped demon titanites, this supposed to happen? After going back to the bonfire I discovered he was respawning like a normal enemy and still giving loot, this really supposed to happen?

That's the only respawning titanite demon in the game.

It's there for farming. Otherwise the shortcut is useless, it's a very long run for BoC, not really worth it. Maybe once, for Solaire.

Yep. The devs kindly included one respawning Titanite demon so you could farm.

And they placed him right smack on the shortest path to reach the Bed of Chaos after dying.
