Leaving Dragon Covenant

Just a question about this specific covenant. If I leave the dragon covenant, does that have any effect on the dragon torso stone buff I got from it? I'm thinking of joining the forest hunter covenant for trading with Shiva, but i want to be aware of what I may be sacrificing here.

Nope. You can still use the transformation regardless if you're in the covenant or not.

The damage boost you gain from the dragon roar is slightly higher when you rank up in the dragon covenant, so you will lose that, but it's only a few % difference, and you can still use it.

Oh ok. Well, I'm doing a one shot playthrough so I need to calculate all my steps properly. I guess it's a gamble but I do need that Demon Greataxe.

If it's the Demon Greataxe you need you can always farm one from the taurus demons in Lost Izalith

The dragon roar buff will be less powerful, and I think might not last as long, I can't remember if duration is affected. The decreases won't be super noticeable though. Still, if you're going for 1-shots, you might want the extra damage buff.
