Power Within + Sanctus
Has anyone tried the combination before? How does that work? I watched a video online of a person using the two to either negate or diminish the life drain he was facing while increasing tearstone damage on SL1 NG+7. Has anyone experimented with that before? Suggestions?

Sure, but only at base VIT. You should google the exact value of HP you can have so that Sanctus and PW negate each other.

Yeah, you need to be cursed and have half health from Dusk's ring for that to work though.

It says that PW negates health based on percentages. Couldn't find info on the Sanctus on the fextralife wiki. Does it regenerate healh by points or by percents?

I couldn't find the right info on Google. If I know how these two items work, I could do the math myself.
And here I thought I could sit back and enjoy the days off college and I wouldn't have Math troubling me. :/

"Generates approximately two HP every two seconds"

You need to drop your hp to between 100 and 199. PW has a 100 second duration and takes 1% of your hp per second rounded down to the nearest 100. Cursed with dusk crown ring and less than 800 hp will accomplish this.

The Lingering Dragoncrest Ring adds duration and reduces self-damage I think.

I thought that anything below a 100 would be fine. As per the math, 100 is the negating point for the effects. Having HP above that would increase the effect of power within and the sanctus wouldn't be able to keep up.

If you have less than 100 hp PW does no self damage. The damage is the same from 100 to 199.

It's not as effective as dusk crown ring though. LDC lowers the damage by ~1/3, dusk crown amounts to at least 50% lower damage.

So I tried this with a max HP of 148, used PW and equipped the Sanctus. HP went from 15 to 14 to 13 and then back to 15 all in a constant cycle. Couldn't get my HP down any more so I cannot comment on that, but I think it's safe to say that you can remain in tearstone range and PW with an HP of 100 - 150.

As I said before, it will work from 100-199.
