Does Darkmoon Blade carry over to NG+?

So I have Dakmoon Blade with me on my NG character and I wanted to know that after fighting Gwyn, would I be able to use the blade before getting to the covenant of Gwyndolin?

Yeah, as long as you don't betray the covenant you're still in with your full level.

I think killing Gwyndolin is the only thing that will break the covenant. If you need to do that then abandon the covenant with Oswald first, that way you just lose half the contribution you've made.

I think killing the illusion of Gwynevere might also be considered a betrayal of the covenant. Not 100% sure on that though.

Definitely entering Gwyndolin's boss chamber is a betrayal (even if you enter by mistake/out of curiousity/whatever and don't actually kill him). If you enter you can still get pardoned and rejoin, but I'm not sure if you'll lose some covenant progress for doing so.
