Bleed question.
Good day everyone. I didnt yet test some things so I need your experience.

-Bleed scales with dmg? For example - gold tracer +0 and +5.
Or bandits knife and uchigatana (33 bleed but dmg is different)

-What about making bleed-weapon elemental. It will have same effect as +15 or lower? (wiki said that chaosw deals more bleed caz of humanityt scaling.... didnt test it .... And what about buffs? ...)

- How many hits do you need to activate it. I mean usually. With katana for example.

Last I checked bleed deals a fixed amount of damage, indipendent from weapon upgrade... how many hits depends on the bleed resistance of the enemy and the bleed build-up of the weapon... and I think some enemies can't bleed either. But usually if they have standard bleed resistance it's 4 hits, more or less...
No idea about elemental and chaos and buffs, lol

Normally bleed deal 1/3 of the HP when inflicted.
Priscilla's Dagger and Scythe deal 1/2 of the HP when inflicted. Note that her dagger has a lower bleed-buildup than average.

Elemental weapons keep their bleed buildup. Just like they keep the 1/3 of HP damage when it's inflicted.

How many hits till it's inflicted? Depends on the bleed resistance of the opponent.

Of note is that a lot of bosses are completely immune to bleed. From one of the wikis:

Bed of Chaos
Black Dragon Kalameet
Ceaseless Discharge
Chaos Witch Quelaag
Four Kings
Gaping Dragon
Gravelord Nito
Gwyn, Lord of Cinder
Iron Golem
Knight Artorias
Manus
Moonlight Butterfly
Seath the Scaleless

It's pretty effective against Smough. Maybe a couple of others.

It's also effective against Stay Demon. But he's easy anyways.

Thanx for answers. It remind me about pve info.

I asked about pvp. Once I lose to a guy with Lifehunt scythe + gold tracer.
And decided to try it by myself. But with other weapons - like morning star (barbed sword) + bandits knife. ...flamberge,.... great scythe..... or anything

So I m thinking how should look "Bleed pvp build". Can it be elemental with high vitality.....Or need buff action.... or that combination that I lose was best....

Great Scythe is always good. Lifehunt Scythe is very similar - you should wear the Bloodshield or the Bloodbite Ring tho otherwise you'll bleed out yourself.
I like the Flamberge, too. Greatsword stunlock capabilities and cool R2s.
The Bandit's Knive deals very severe critical damage. If you like backstab-fishing, you should use it. Or keep it offhand to switch to it after a parry.

You can go with pure DEX + any buff/resin or VIT + Chaos/Lightning path. doesn't matter that much. Decide it yourself.

The important thing to remember about bleed weapons is they have different buildups. For instance, the gold tracer inflicts bleed very quickly because it has a high buildup, as does the Lifehunt Scythe. Priscilla's dagger, on the other hand, is awful at inflicting bleed since the buildup per hit from it is the lowest in the entire game, even though the damage inflicted by the bleed is so high.
