xlive.dll is missing FIXED (Possible DSfix bug)

I have been using the beta update for Dark Souls the entire time ive played, never once had i launched the GFWL version, now all of a sudden the game will not launch on either version because it says i am missing this file. Ive been playing one file for 20 hours already. Does anyone know a fix for this? Ive tried placing the .dll manually on my computer but this does not help the error.

i cant really help but i can help by saying that the non beta version doesnt use gfwl anymore

Neither version works and they are both giving me the same error now out of the blue.

Tried that as well, on each version it says there is one file missing and will be acquired. Although it doesn't say what that file is, nor does it actually get a file or fix anything.

It's odd because the game doesn't rely on gfwl anymore... I would uninstall and reinstall the game, but I don't know if it'll do anything.

Uninstalled... and reinstalled. Still no luck, same error. GFWL should not even be a part of this and yet the error is because i am missing it, but i never needed it in the past and i just have no idea what has changed.

One other thing to note is that the game does a "first time setup" thing for about a second everytime it tries to launch, not sure if this is related to the issue or not.

I think it is working now, it was something to do with DSfix. Even though I re installed the game DSfix stuff stays. I have no idea why the error it was giving me was about xlive.dll because it seems like it had nothing to do with it. The only thing i can think of is somehow a file inside DSfix was corrupted and it was just giving me that error. Thanks for the help though i really appreciated the fast responses i got to this post!
