Why does this enemy in the painted world exist?
After you unload half of your arrows into the big dragon till it dies and you keep going down the bridge there is a monster you cant damage nor will it attack you?

Found out online you can r1+forward to make it stand up but it still cant be killed?
You can kill these guys in lost izalith though

That's the dragon's butt.

That's the ass end of the undead dragon. In lost izalith, you will find the legs of undead dragons that will attack you and be killed. However those were put in more from the developers being lazy.

The developers have a fetish for Dragon butts.

Maybe dragonslayers liked slicing the dragons in 2 and throw away the lower part... BUT WHY

take off the head and put it on O's tropy room. then the mid part can be used as food (dragon meet), bones for training gear, and skins for fancy people.

Then again that is my lore :V

The undead dragon just loses its butt when it charges you, that's why it takes so long to get moving. It probably doesn't care being a zombie and all. Izalith is covered in dragon butts because deadlines. That's also why there are textures missing in the area and why BoC is a ♥♥♥♥ boss.

Yeah it's a bit odd that that particular dragon butt is invulnerable, but w/e just think of it as a hidden wall. As to the ones in Lost Izalith, as the others have said the devs had to rush the game out and so they just copy pasted dragon butts all over the place. It's unfortunate but dem's the breaks. Fleshing out content to the level of detail of the earlier parts of the game takes time and effort, and that costs money.

You have to go under the bridge.

There's a glitch that will let you bypass it, but you'll have to discover it for yourself. OR you could finish exploring the area and complete it as the devs intended.
