What is the best "light" armor in the game?
I am wanting to make a good light build. What do you all recomend as far as armor sets?

Go for the looks... light armor doesn't give you any poise anyway, so as long as you keep dodging defense doesn't matter... personally I'm a fan of the wanderer set... and Chester's set but you gotta get to the dlc and kill him for that :squirtmeh:

Sage Robe
Hollow Thief's Hood

Just those two armors really.

Since nobody really knows their ass from a set of gear, and I play on a sl1 all the time and light armor is a must if you want to not die to random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥...

Tattered Cloth set(hands and chest esp.), Dingy Robes and Blood Stained Skirt(highest overall defense to weight ratio), Black Leather Boots(fashionable and practical, but weigh a full 3.0), Black Sorcerer set(All extremely light and offering super magic defense), Hollow Thief's Leather Armor, Wanderer Coat, and finally for a more fem look, mix Antiquated dress set with Maiden's set. Chester's set is very light as well, but suffers from the special upgrade path. Any of the armors on the special upgrade path, which take twinkling titanite to upgrade, tend to be weaker than ones on the regular upgrade path(the armor that goes to +10).

For some poise, if you want a little extra with your wolf ring, Knight/Elite Knight/Silver Knight leggings do the trick. So does the Gargoyle helm. Sure, you could go about and equip anything, but this is for poise/weight/defense ratio optimization really.

Honestly I'd just dual wield 2 dragons teeth and go naked. Armor is for casuals

For the weapon it depend on what build you go with, DEX or STR or INT, personally I prefer rapier class + Leo ring + any 100% physical defence shield. For the armor, anything looks good will do.

Yes, and you could easily make a min/max red tearstone build with it, too.

No armor is much better for PvE at low level. I'll take stamina regen over maybe surviving a hit.
