How to use a PS3 controller?
So I was searching a bit for this, but got nowhere. Playing DS 1 on a keyboard sounds uncomfy, so I wanted to take use of my PS3 controller since the game was released for PS3 once... I installed and already deleted Motionjoy and BetterDS3, because it didn't work, so how can I do it now? I also enabled the driver signature enforcement and basically installed the controller, but nothing appens with it... So how do I do it?

Edit:
I tested both versions out, the original and the new, updated. Both work perfectly fine just after the installation.

Either you didn't uninstall MotionJoy like it said in the instructions, with command prompt and everything. Or you have a non-genuine DualShock 3, which is a common thing. Any DualShock that isn't bought from an official Sony store is non-genuine. That especially goes if you bought one from Amazon or Ebay.

In the new installation you MUST select your BT stack manually, and you must select your DS3 manually.

Well I uninstalled it via cmd now, but the controller still doesn't show up or respond. At least the error messages don't appear now.
But what is that BT stack and DS3 you were writing about? I just unpacked the newest SCp version in a new folder under my programs and ran the setup and installed everyhing that was there, pretty standard as I would assume. And in the driver installer I installed just the PS3 controller drivers. But I haven't found any XBOX 360 device on my system devices, as it were in some tutorial videos I saw...

Run ScpCleanWipe.exe, then run ScpToolkit_Setu again to uninstall everything. Make sure you have your DualShock3 plugged in during the removal.

BT is a Bluetooth stack, it is used for wireless play. Not required unless you want wireless.
DS3 is obviously DualShock 3, the gamepad you have.

After you are done uninstalling everything, restart your PC.
Plug your DualShock 3 via USB cable. Then run ScpToolkit_Setup again.
After it is done installing, run ScpDriverInstaller from the desktop shortcut.
Make sure the controller is plugged in and select it in"Choose DualShock 3 controllers to install".
http://puu.sh/miAZV/5bebb870bd.png I already have mine installed so i can't show you, but you can see where it is on the screen.
Select your controller, then click install.

After that, everything should work fine. It must work, because it works for everyone else without a problem. If it doesn't, the only thing you can try is the old SCP Driver which i used before. If that doesn't work, and windows doesn't recognize your DualShock 3 controller before the installation, then i am afraid your gamepad is either not genuine or it doesn't work.

I kindof feel dumb now, but I can't find the CleanWipe.exe I have the folder in the package, but there's nowhere a .exe for that. Just to be sure, I had to download either the Source Cod-zip or tar.gz file, not both? And the controller came with the console, so that should have been genuine since my system says it's a PS3 controller...

I tried everything you said, except the CleanWipe since it not there, but the controller still does not want to respond. The toolkit always gives me a Nullpointer error and one concerning bluetooth, so that might be an issue. Or could it be because I just have 2 USB ports (2.0 / 3.0) and one has a bluetooth mouse already in it?

Just deselect the BT driver in the installation menu. You don't need that if you don't want to play wireless. And you need a dedicated Bluetooth for your controller, meaning that you won't be able to use the one you have for anything else except for the controller if you flash it (You can simply reverse the changes by doing an uninstall/cleanwipe).

The CleanWipe is located in the installation folder. Windows should first recognize your controller when you plug it in via the mini-usb adapter. After the installation, it will show up as a Xbox360 controller.

Download the installation exe file, not the source file.

The first one.

Just do one cleanwipe, run the setup again to uninstall everything, restart your PC, plug your controller, run the setup again, select your controller on the list of controllers and deselect the BT drivers.

It should work after that. Unless like i said, windows doesn't recognize your controller after CleanWipe or before that, which means something is wrong on your end and/or MotionJoy messed up your virtual bus, which can happen because it is crappy malware.

Before and after windows recognizes the controller as a Playstation 3 controller, with no further types or categories, just as a libusBK device. I found a Clean windows cmd-script, that I ran... So far it did nothing and I had the controller always plugged in, even when restarting. I try now to first uninstall all PS3 drivers, before cleaning and uninstalling, then re-installing with the controller plugged off, during the restart. This is already giving me a headache...

Well, at least it recognized the controller as a gamecontroller now, but even after the driver installation, it was just a PS3 controller. I try the older version now, maybe that will work better...

The older version did nothing, the controller wasn't even blinking as it was before...
Could it have been something with the XBOX 360 drivers? That they were uninstalled as well, after I uninstalled the PS3 drivers and had to install them again?
