How to identify weapon stat requirements

Hello guys! I'm new in this game and I'm kinda having trouble equiping some items. Everytime I try to equip a particular item like the Black Knight Sword it always says "Unable to wield this weapon effectively with the present stats". I have enough points to upgrade some of my stats but I don't know what it does require. Are there any in-game infos that can tell if what specific stat I lack and needs upgrade to effectively equip that item I want?

Hit "X" to toggle display while in the equipment menu. Look under "ReqParam". Black Knight sword is 20 strength and 18 dexterity.

Ok so open up your weapons and find the weapon you want to use press X on it it will give you all the info you need about that item, also the black knight sword requires 20 STG and 18 DEX and 14 STG and 18 DEX to two hand it.

Under Req Param there are four symbols which are strength, dexterity, intelligence, and faith next to said symbols are numbers, if the numbers are red that means you are below the required stats
