Its better than DS2 for sure but not as good as DS3
The game does look good but at the same I feel like it is a weird mix of the Souls and Bloodborne aesthetic and that didn't really work for me.
Eh, I'd put DeS and Dark Souls on the same level. Dark Souls is basically "what if the areas in the 5 archstones were actually connected?". I also think the open world in ER does not work with the Souls formula so that's not really a pro.
Agree with Bloodborne though, this is peak Souls game.
When it comes to originallity. Look at DS3 as a soft remake of DS1 and it will make much more sense. Dont treat it like a proper sequel but rather a reimageing of the first Dark Souls.
Anyway, lets not forget that gameplay is much more polished than DS1. There are way more builds, more spells. Story of the main game and NPCs arent as good as the original, BUT the DLC is much better than anything of the original. Especially Ringed City is amazing....
I havent played Bloodborne.
have you played on the ps5? The haptics from the controller are also great.
Hell even Demon souls is better.
ps2 wasnt
bloodborne will be nicely emulated by end of next year.
