Can't enter name on Steam Deck
I click on the name box, I type in a name, I press enter, and the box has a flashing cursor, the only thing I can do is rotate my character's model, none of the other boxes are clickable. The only way out is quitting with the steam menu

What operating system do you use? Do you have DSFix installed? Do you have a controller you can use?

Try to use a manually invoked on-screen keyboard to enter your name and close the one, that pops up on it's own, when trying to enter a name. Press [STEAM]+(X) to manually open the on-screen keyboard.

If that didn't work, can you bring up the mouse cursor by using the right trackpad while holding down the [STEAM]-button? If yes, you can try using the mouse to get out. The right trigger will act like a left mouse-click.

Also if you are using the dsfix mod, you may need to use the following launch option for it to work:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%
I'd recommend using dsfix even if you prefer lower FPS for more battery-life. Just bumping it up to the "golden 40" (40FPS/40Hz) will feel significantly smoother while putting barely any more strain on the Deck.

Edit: I've just tried it and yeah, if you get to the part, where you get the blinking cursor and can't do anything, just bring up the keyboard manually and it should let you enter the name properly.

Just thinking 'out of the box', is your name too long? I don't know what the char limit is for player name but it does exist and stops PC players from being summoned. Your steam handle would more than likely be too long.

There’s some odd disconnect between Steam Deck’s keyboard and the name UI.

What worked for me was to tap Cancel on the very first input prompt thrown by the keyboard UI, then start typing the name. As long as the name field shows a blinking _ cursor, it should pick up the keyboard input properly.
