Quality claymore build, Armor Tips?
Hi!, Im currently going for a 40/40/40 end str dex build with my claymore with the ring of flavor and protection and havel's ( Want to switch this with DWGR soon after getting some better lighter armor ) Im wondering what a good end game armor would be? Im ok with going NG+ to get more twinkling titanite for upgrades if needed. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Anyway, elite knight armor?
Depends if you want poise or not.

Yeah i do want poise, Im currently using Elite knight, it's good but i feel like there's better. also im not getting 25% load for DWGR with it, maybe that's just because im not on 40 end yet.
Going with one set is a good way to go over weight without accomplishing what you want to. It generally works best to mix pieces.
Havels Ring + Wolf Ring
Knight Gauntlets + Knight Leggins + Hardened Leather Armor + Headgear of your choice
Claymore + Gold Tracer + Grass Crest Shiled
50 vit
45 end
40 str
35 dex
Build has 58 poise. My currentquality build :P
If you want something else, go look at MrIWont4get's quality build.

I've seen this on another thread:
Mask of mother
Black sorcere cloak
Havel's gauntlets
hollow soldier waisthcloth
DWR Ring
Ring of Favor and protection

But that's from a couple of years ago, from what i've understood there have been a couple of patches and things got nerfed etc.

I'm wondering what's a good end game choice now worth investing materials in.

Thanks, are you using elite knight's or just knight? I'd rather go light and swap havel's for Favor and protection and Wolf for DWGR, Or is that a bad idea? I'd probably need Havel's for heavier equipment to get some poise.

You can switch between the elite/standard set. The build is designed to be able to wield the Demon Great Machette, SO if you plan only to use the claymore or are a dex maniac, I would suggest to go for 45 dex and get black flame.

You can wear the FaP ring - but you will have to limit yourself only to the claymore and Grass Crest Shield - No gold Tracer :( It is an awesome weapon to scare people off and get some distance.

You bring shame on your family with such scrubbish clothing. Try Havel's legs and Havel's gauntlets. That gives you 56 poise which is one of the optimal breakpoints for pvp.

Oh okay, Im using the grass crest and only the claymore hehe. I got a pyromancy glove and a black pharis bow equipped aswell. I already was looking forward to the black flame since it was on the '' He's Back ''' Build lol. So it's okay to just sticking with the FaP ring ?
and if im correct it's good to stick with the elite knight aswell?

Any way i can get that poise without havel's ring? If not im switching it out with FaP or DWGR what would you recommend?
When you say you want poise, how much do you want? Above the 53 breakpoint? 41? 35? 30? What do you want? Assuming you want more than 52... http://mmdks.com/80uu

If you want to give up on Havel's and start flipping but still want a bit of poise--over the 30 breakpoint is probably the limit there... http://mmdks.com/80uw

Feel free to play with that as you like. Swap the rapier for a DST or Bandit's Knife. Swap the Heater Shield for whatever else you want, etc. I would recommend trying to include a piece of the thorn set if you can for the bs cancel potential, but obviously you don't have to. Apologies to Clay for the inclusion of Hollow Soldier Waistcloth but damn that poise-weight ratio is something else. Pity it sucks as an actual piece of armor and looks ugly as sin.

Well if you can find 16 poise worth of armor and put on the wolf ring you'll achieve the same result. A few examples: giant helm+ eastern gauntlets, thorns chest, crystaline chest. You kind of just have to find what you like and fill in the blanks.
