Which is better for a 30/40 build with Sunlight Blade?

I'm guessing that's 30 str 40 dex? Purely from a damage perspective, they are identical.

Consider the silver knight starigh sword as well. Same weight as dark sword, but better moveset, much better base damage, and looks much nicer. And can be buffed

consider Balder Side Sword its also a very awesome weapon and has a fast moveset and its blade is pretty long. probably you should watch some videos where you can see the movsets :D

have you ever tried the balder side sword? its a very famous weapon and its range and moveset is pretty badass which easily compensate for that little bit of lower damage, because it will hit more often in the right hands. not saying that darksword or sunlight straight sword are bad weapons, they are not. but at the end of the day its a matter of personal taste about the moveset, the range, the weight and not only pure dmg numbers.

Uhh, yes. I think i have tried every weapon in the game. But the question was: "Sunlight Sword or Dark Sword" not "Tell me all the Straightswords"

Sunlight is lighter, has a slightly faster moveset and more useful r2s. They'll have the exact same AR either way, so those are the only real differences.
