Patches: Kill or Forgive?

Did you guys kill patches or forgive him your first time through? I killed the little bastard, little did i know he becomes a merchant later #noregrets

Save him and buy all his humanity. But killing him he will drop Humanity (x4)
Crescent Axe. Its a divine axe and scales really well but you can buy it from him as a merchant as well in firelink shrine so its all your call i saved him on my run.

Yea i know all that, i was just wondering what everyone else did their first time. I didnt need advice, sorry if there was any confusion.

I saved him, and I usually do in additional runs as well.

It's also nice to be able to buy the masks. I rarely use them, but when someone I like needs one and rng is against them, they can summon me and I can drop as many as I can buy for him.

Hmm i never knew you could buy the masks from him, guess ive never really bothered to check his entire selection. Mask of the father is the best one anyways and i got that the first time i killed pinwheel
