since your profile is private i can't tell if you're familiar with the game. if you are:

buy the residence key from the undead merchant. then go to the valley of drakes either by passing Havel, or via New Londo Ruins. walk through Darkroot basin to the Undead Parish. pick up the Basement key in the area, and then go to the lower undead burg. self explanatory from there.

if you're new:

just progress normally. get familiar with the map and enemies first, or you're going to get lost and have a bad time. the sorcerer gear isn't that far into the game. plus it's conveniently right next to the first sorcerer you meet, so you can pick up the gear and then learn spells right away at firelink shrine.

The best way to be a relatively powerful sorcerer early on is to get your hands on the Oolacile Ivory Catalyst and the Crown of Dusk, as well as the Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring.

You'll have to kill the Hydra along with the crystal golem at the back of the Darkroot Basin to get Dusk, of course. As long as you close in on it and have a decent shield (say, the Heater Shield or the Dragon Crest Shield), you should be fine against the Hydra. You should focus on dodging with the golem.

You can buy some stuff from Rickert, the smith in New Londo. Alternatively, buy the residence key and do the lower burg skip. If you can pull it off and get past a few thieves and dogs to save Griggs you'll have all the stuff you'll want for early game.

It should be noted that by defeating the Hydra, you also get access to the Enchant Ember so if you farm the golems in darkroot, you can get an enchanted +4 weapon early on.
