Shiva's weapons?

Okay so I've read on the wiki that you can get a good ring from killing his bodyguard, but beforehand you should find him in blighttown and buy stuff from him. Other than the ring he sells, whats worth buying? Bear in mind that I am not building for pvp. I am currently a melee build but from my current stats it'd be a LONG time before I could use the stone sword and demon mechete without two handing them. Are the katanas any good? The washing pole and flamberge? Had my eye on the latter. Thanks in advance!

You should be able to request pardon and buy stuff later if you keep Shiva alive.

Washing pole's good for it's relatively-absurd range coupled with, ya know, the speed and moveset of uchi. That's it. Claws suck! Everything else can be found elsewhere.

Best thing you can get from him is his facepalm gesture.

No he doesnt really sell any good weapons so theres no point in waiting until blighttown

Ignore that, Shiva(in blighttown) gives you the face-palm gesture.
Also sells a lot of weapons that are dropped from mobs, like the flamberge/MSGS(I think)

Well i dont pvp so gestures are pointless, and none of his weapons are that great so.

Well i dont pvp so gestures are pointless, and none of his weapons are that great so.

MSGS is pretty good, heavy but good. Shotel's are good, washing pole etc.

Shiva sells weapons that are good for pvp mostly.

Uchis are good, Shotels are good, Washing Pole is alright, Flamberge is pretty great...I'm speaking as a pvper, but anything good in pvp is viable in pve. Claws are weak, but cool. The rolling r1s are awesome.

If you have a laggy connection, then yeah. Go to town with those pursuers! Make sure to put on crown of dusk + bellowing dragoncrest, have 50 int and str and use manus' catalyst.
