Seems like a pretty cool weapon as long as you tread carefully with it. Is the damage and bleed worth it on a high dex build?

Are you talking about pvp or pve?

Let's go with both.

I'm actually pretty curious too. I've never really given it a shot because of bleed damage

It might be decent in pve but it's gonna make things more complicated against opponents that can't bleed, like the iron golem... and also you should avoid using it against 4 kings, since every hit dealt to them counts as 2 hits, so you'll risk getting insta-autobleed every hit.
About pvp, I think the self-bleed activates even when the hit didn't register thanks to latency, and since that happens a lot you'll end up building up bleed without actually damaging the opponent.

Very Strong. But can easily kill you. Bloodbite Ring and Bloodshield are Mandatory.

PvE it's situational. More often than not, bosses are immune or highly resistant to bleed so in some situations you might as well use another weapon.

For PvE I would not recomend it, instead take normal scythe, It has lower damage but You do not need to worry about bleeding out. As for PvP, if You will fight against someone with bleed, You will have a bad time, but try it anyway.

It's basically meant as a PvP weapon, but I'd advise against using it without either the bloodshield or the bloodbite ring. Most opponents that see you using it will likely elect to use a bleed weapon themselves--I know I always switch to a flamberge when I see it. In these instances you may just want to abandon it altogether.

And in PvE, I think that the only boss susceptible to bleed is Sif. Otherwise... you're gonna have a bad time.

Sif, Demons (Centipede, Stray Demon, Firesage, Taurus, Capra).
You can bleed O&S but takes a lot.

Several bosses are actually weak to bleeding, like Centipede, Smough, Asylum demons and Firesage, Gwyndolin...

None of the lord soul bosses are though. And none of the DLC bosses (maybe Sanctuary Guardian?) In other words, most of the bosses that can be bled with it are bosses that you probably don't even need to bleed.

I use the BKS... and it has extra damage to demons, hence why I've never tried bleed against them, but good to know. :)

Another thing I've noticed its that the Weapons extra normal Damage usually means the target is Dead before Bleed activates versus normal enemys.

It Shredds Twerker Demon.

Its low stat requirements make it ideal for an exotic low SL weapon. You can weild it two-handed at like SL6. I had a lot of fun with it.
