Sharing your Nodes (DSCM)

Due to the current online problems, can those people who are currently in the "swarm" (meaning they are connected to various nodes, which can be seen by using the DS1-PVP-Watchdogs MOD) please share their SteamID in DSCM? ("http://wulf2k.ca/" DSCM-Connectivity Mod). That way currently "offline" people are able to join by following the current "online" players.

Isn't it the other way around? People who are supposedly "offline" must have give their ID to someone else who is online to pull them in.

I had nodes yesterday when the server crapped itself and when I tried to summon it kept saying "failed to create session".

It should work both ways. I atleast did it that way due to a friendly user giving away his ID and staying online yesterday for couple hours just afking in the swarm. I entered his ID, connected and shortly afterwards got other Nodes.

Two points here that are completely missed.

First it's the person who is offline that needs to send the SteamID to the person with the nodes.

Secondly someone must have nodes for the connection to be made, you can't make a connection over the server if you aren't connected to it.

I've said that by saying "who are connected to the swarm" and it definetly also works by getting the ID from someone who is online and trying to connect to him while offline. It worked for me and a friend yesterday

how do you connect via steam ID using wulfs connectivity app?
I am fairly new to the PC Master Race, so help is needed

Wulf stop working, cannot see any node, and my friend neither, what is that about connect via Steam ID? :S

1. Start DS1 over Steam
2. go to http://wulf2k.ca/
3. download the DSCM - Connectivity Mod (upper left side)
4. Unzip the archive you downloaded
5. Start the .exe
6. Wait a moment, preferably click on "Expand DSCM"
7. Tab into Game and out, then copy your Steam64ID on the upper right corner
8. ????
9. Share it here if you have nodes you are connected to (you see them in the expanded List or in the amount of Nodes top right corner (XX/20)

I only really care about playing with one other person, so how would I go about connecting to them?
currently cannot find any orange signs anywhere in game

Then change channel from the default 7 to another one... both of you.

I tried to do that, however we still couldn't connect, I currently can't even get node drawing to work, the over lay does not show up

Sadly, there is some kind of "server", although connections are made P2P. That one also inherits messages for example. If you don't have that primary swarm connection or try to connect to someone who has it, you won't be able to go online. (that's what i experienced)
