It doesn't contradicts she could be turned into Manus.
Although Manus is supposed to be The Mother of Abyss then, but here is the place where that coffin from DkS2 could be passing by...
I am not defending the theory much anyway, just found it to be interesting, but I see no much reasons for Manus to kidnap Dusk then. Although she just could be around when he emerged...
NOT THE MASKKKKKK
AGHHHHHH /
Never loved Arty much tbh.
He abandoned his wolf down there with a swarm of huge black things around and fled. He was corrupted even before The Abyss overtook him. No wonder it had no problem to infest his dastardly soul
He sacrificed himself and even used his shield as a barrier to prevent puppy Sif from getting rekt by the urban violence ;-;
Nah, he dropped his gear on the battlefield and fled, betraying his faithful companion.
My life is a lie
His good left arm which he carries the sword with, was shattered during his advance into the abyss (most likely by Manus) and as such he deemed that he is no longer able to both finish his task as well as protect both himself and Sif at the same time. Thus he abandoned HIMSELF and leave his shield in the form of a small barrier to contain and protect Sif while he ran as far away as possible from Sif in hope of not harming his longtime companion after he'd lose himself to the influence of the Abyss.
