Dark Souls is pure artificial difficulty and cheap as fk

Just played through this joke of the game.

First of all, for a game boasts so much for its "realisitic" combat, it came across as being intentionally restricting and clunky as all hell on purposes just to match the "Prepare to Die" logo. I NEVER died because I made a mistake, but because character has his own clumsyness shoved into his butt and fall in disgrace during combat. NONE of my death felt great or deserved at all as a result.

The attacks and movement are slow, awkward and it's pretty clear the the devs designed the game to be this clunky for the "retro" point but let us all be honestly, it's just unfair and you KNOW it.

Let us all face the truth here. In this game, all you do is die again and again until you memorise all the bosses' attacks and win the last encounter blindfolded. And that's all there is to the combat.

There is no point behind anything as you always die from something you can't anticipate, at all. And you'd be sent straight back to the last bonfire every time that happens, asking you to make your way back to where you were just to repeat the exact same process with the next "jumpscare" that instantly kills you for no reason. And it's exactly the same for boss fight but worse.

♥♥♥♥♥ hell the boss fight. Besides the fact bosses always whip out something that there is no way for you to react or deal with properly, they always 1 shot you with it too, sending you straight back the bonfire.... Can you spot a pattern here? Rubbing more salt into the injury, most boss fights happen in completely unfair scenarios because god forbit bosses fight me like a REAL ♥♥♥♥♥ MAN. It's incredibly unfair in each and every single boss fight. I bet the devs just want the game hard and forces people to repeat the sections of the game again and again until they finally beat it and feel great about themselves, even though it's completely unnecessary padding that serves no purposes besides adding artificial value to this piece of ♥♥♥♥ it is, just like its supposed "difficulty".

Story? Fk you wot, what story? You just guy who escapes the prison, gets captured by a crow and onto another land then you're fighting your way across zombies, demons and ♥♥♥♥♥ I DON'T ♥♥♥♥♥ KNOW. Be real, there is no story to be found here, just you, kill bosses, and stronger bosses, done, The End. I had heard that there is this big world and rich lore and all that crap, no seriously, there is nothing there in this game and everyone you meet is half-assly insane who all go "hehehehehe" at the end of each sentence. Story rich MY ♥♥♥.

♥♥♥♥♥ overhyped piece of ♥♥♥♥ game.

No idea people are so much into masochism these days, what a piece of ♥♥♥♥ joke.

Yeah fanboys be hating me now, come at me for all I care, you just don't want to believe that you're playing a game that's all about muscule memory time wasting padding and 0 content. Yeah keep feeling great about yourself for beating this "hardest game ever" where even monkies can do it as long as they die enough times in this piece of ♥♥♥♥.

FK ALL THIS GAME AND THIS FRANCHISE. Honestly Dark Souls 3 is coming out and here I am checking to see if this franchise is any worth, NOPE just another overhyped borefest like Civilisation.

Stay mad fanboys. Can't wait to see them rushing in here trying to defend their obviously ♥♥♥♥ game like they're on crack addictions.

Easily the best game + game series I've ever played, preordered Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III, haven't regretted it yet.
Great story, great gameplay, nothing wrong with it yet.

You replied because you know that this game is full of issues but you have to give in to the pressure of praising this game's nonexistent fame that it never earned.

It only got famous because people are making this ♥♥♥♥ bigger than it is on the internet and people quickly jump on the bandwagon like it's the Emperor's new clothes or some ♥♥♥♥.

There is NO story, and it's only redeeming value, the combat, is fake. The combat is intentionally clunky and is just overall bad. This game is cheap on purpose so people can make it sound like they'd endured some hardship or whatever by playing through it.
