Can't find Shiva of the East
I found out i was kicked out of the Forest Covenant so I finally absolved my sins for 61k , rejoined the covenant, however I cannot find this person anywhere. Neither Darkmoon forest or next to wheel in Blight town? What gives?

I haven't played this game in a while, is it possible I killed Shiva? How would I know if I did or didn't? I don't think I did.....Anyone got suggestions?

He can die to the poison in Blight town. If u want his weapon you can farm it from the giant skeletons in firestink, catacombs, and tomb.

Well if you have the ninja flip ring or shiva's shield, you have killed him on this NG cycle or any previous one.

His random demise generally falls under one of the two scenaros below, 1 for each location he can even be at, and both cases happen rather often.

1. He falls off the cliff behind him when he is in Darkroot and dies from it.

2. He contracts the poison when he's moved to Blighttown and dies from it.

From Soft really doesn't like his guts you see...

Ha, he was originally supposed to hollow and become a villain. A really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy one obsessed with the color red. They recorded the audio but they couldn't fit the quest in.

Yeah so many stuff were ripped from the game due to not having place to fit in the contents, time constraint and whatnot, hell even Oscar was supposed to live to the very end of the game.

But hey, Dark Souls did turn out to be a gem so not much complaint there. That said, Demonic Ruins/Lost Izalith and TotG imo are still pretty garbage when compared to the rest of the game due to their unfinishness. Oh well.

lost izalith? moar like lost potential :(
tomb's just plain poopy stinky buttfarts and should be lit on fire.

I hope in, like a couple years this game gets a special edition or somethin.

That, plus all the areas (the most beatiful ones IMHO) and quest lines that you are very likely to miss on NG. They got guts at From Soft when you think of it.

Murakumo. It's no Katana though...
A long Katana is the Washing Pole. But I think you mean the Mura as it's Shiva's weapon

It's a Curved Greatsword called Murakumo.

The simplest way to farm it is to farm it off the giant skeleton in the graveyard next to the Fireline Shrine.

There are 2 giant skeletons in that graveyard.

The drop rate is about 2% which is rather low, so pop some humanity and be patient.

Shiva also sells the Washing Pole, a very long katana, just as op describes.
