Best weapon for parrying/DEX dual wield build.
I'm thinking of doing a DEX dual wield build, my questions are:
1: How effective/fun do you think this build would be? Nothing but dodging and parrying.
2: What's a good weapon for parrying to hold in my left hand? I'm thinking of rapier, and the r1 spam could help as well if you can use it in left hand. I'm also thinking of ending off with the 2 daggers you get after you kill Artorias. Sound like a good idea?

I just thought of this idea, and as a person who mostly hides behind a shield like a little ♥♥♥♥♥, thought it'd be some fun. Some really good parry practice as well, which I could use.

I'm thinking this: 2 weapons, no shield. (Unless it's a small shield for parrying, and I don't have a good parrying weapon yet.) Thief starting class, rapier in parry position, flip ring, whatever armor is the best that I can still flip in, and other type of rapier is right hand.

How does it sound? Currently at Gargoyles, have parry shield and +1 rapier.

Why not the parrying dagger? It has "parrying" in the name...
The thing is, dual wielding is not really useful in this game, it doesn't benefit you in any way.

try falchione in left hand

I don't really want to be too obvious.

I don't particularly care, it sounds like a fun build, and good practice.

Rapier is stylish, but less effective overall than small shields. Curved sword parry is weird af. Katana parry is cool. If the PvP enemy has enough poise to tank a hit, you can hit with the left hand katana after the parry, and still get the animation

Falchione is the fastest dex "long sword type" weapon and he also have a special animation parry

1. Possible, but need good reaction and lot practice. Also boss hits not parry, be carefull.
2. Parry dagger (good timing), but may be any other.

If you want to use this setup in pvp, dont use parrying dagger as the extra parrying frame means that you can get punished easily for each missed parry because of the longer recovery frame.Any curved sword(shotel, quelaag's fury sword),thrusting sword(like rapier, estoc wont work unfortunately),daggers, and katanas all have parrying ability in left hand. The parrying frame is not that much different between them iirc.
Btw have you heard of burrito combo?

Best bet is probably either the Chaos Blade or Furysword in left hand for best burrito combo. They're both on the heavy-ish side though for a left hand weapon. But it's up to you. Curved swords have a pretty long recovery, second only to parrying dagger that I'm aware, so maybe don't use the Furysword unless you really want to.

Dual painted gaurdian swords

Dragon Greatsword.
Only a few weapons can be useful this way usualy curved swords.

Of note the golden tracer behaves the same in the right and left hand.

dual tracer is strange cause both suck in off hand (gold has no parry and silver no extra crit benefit and no poison R2) - BUT you may use gold in off and still have fun with cos-play, nice left hand attacks, poisoning R2 and bstabbin - and just parry with your fist in 2nd off hand slot
