DARK SOULS™: Prepare To Die Edition

Statistiche:
How do I remove a curse?!
I was in the sewer area where a frog cursed me. Since then my game experience has been just awful, because I can't progress or even fight basic enemies with half my health!

I've read online that certain merchants can remove a curse, but the ones that are named are all the ones that I thought were pointless and killed. I don't have the holy guy in the gargoyle church, I don't have Ingward in New Londo Ruins, and I haven't reached this place where purging stones drop. So how do I remove the curse? I just can't move forward. please help

Why would you throw firebombs at the crow? And after it flew away, did it come back? Because if not then you just screwed yourself.
I wonder if he killed Andre and will complain about bad mechanics because no one will forge divine weapons for him.

I can't imagine why he would complain, you don't ever need them for anything. At most they are a slight convenience.

I killed Ingward in New Londo, and the priest dude in that Gargoyle bell tower, so I can't trade with them (I saw that they were selling stuff for pyromancy and assumed I'd never need them, so I killed them and got the keys they were holding), and the undead merchant in the aquaduct is stood away from the bars because I hit her once. SHE WAS SELLING MOSS THOUGH, I CAN FARM MOSS WITH THE TREE DUDES. There must be another way!

Messaggio originale di Revalius:
You can get purging stones from snuggly by trading a cracked red eye orb, also 4 red eye orbs can be obtained from firelink shrine.
What exactly is snuggly? I've seen it referred to as Snuggly the Crow but you can't interact with it. It just stands there and makes noise (ironically when I started the game I threw firebombs at it until it flew away) :GDHard:
oh my god why
just... delete that savegame, lol, reset

What does the crow do for you? It comes back, yeah. You can't kill it I don't think.

Nah Andre's my mate, we go down the pub every now and then and grab a pint, he's chill. He made me my Divine Lucerne :hurray:

BUT, for anyone else who says I did so wrong, killing Ingward gave me the key to the floodgates, which I needed to progress. how else would I have progressed without killing him? :s

he drops the key so if you kill him you aren't locked out of progressing through the game. There are other ways to get the key. The crow will fly you back to the starting area of the game if you sit in its nest for a while.

By talking to him. By progressing through the game until you get an item that impresses him enough to give it to you for nothing. Seriously, murder isn't the answer for everything, and many NPCs will have sub-stories that progress along with your progression of the game if you talk to them instead of killing them.

Theres a common bug where when you kill ingward he will not drop the key preventing the game from ever progresing past a certain point and he gives you the key latter on.Its best not to kill him unless your doing a speed run and thus the save is expendable/time investment is nhil.

Theres also a simlar one if you one shot pricilia.

On pyromancy theres almost no good reason not to carry around power within and great combustion/black flame for a melee charcter in dks1 unless your hyper adverse to useing it due to the lack of stamina costs for spells in dks 1.

All you DS veterans making out I'm an idiot for this  it's my first playthrough, I'm finding out what everything does and this is just one of them. But in most games there are still ways to overcome a problem that you wouldn't have seen coming. A curse should be one of them.
If you can kill something that you NEED later on to cure you, then surely they wouldn't let you attack it.

Where's its nest? I haven't seen that

I never really understood how to use pyromancy. I saved a guy and he gave me the pyromancy flame, but I can't attune anything.
If it means leveling up attunement then it probably just isn't worth it, it's hard enough to level up anything when my health bar is smaller than my little toe
You decided to kill merchants that sold items that you didn't know what they did, so you thought they couldn't be needed for anything. There are back up plans if you get cursed, there are exactly 4 of them, you just for some reason elected to eliminate 3 of them. The nest is very high up in firelink shrine.

This ain't no Skyrim, man :angryofficer:

Stop blaming the game, you have killed merchants which could help you to "overcome a problem" just for very few souls. It's your fault. Hope hollows with torches will kill you before you trade anything with shuggly.
welcome to dark souls. Your actions have consequences here. While only certain glitches will completely prevent you from finishing the game, your actions (such as killing NPCs on a whim) can and will make the game harder. Live and learn. Hopefully you'll learn from this.
