Best, light weapons to accomidate a Sorcerer?
I'm a fan of the Uchi katana, and I was thinking about using the magic embers to give it scaling with my inteligence, but I want to know if there's other weapons I could consider, and if I should use Magic or Enchanted embers with them.

I've never been a fan of the magic embers, I've always liked going the normal path and then buffing with cmw. I like a lot of the straight swords or trusting swords as an int build, the uchi is too heavy and requries too much strength for a dex weapon for a int build.

What about Velka's rapier, or any other regular fast weapon buffed with CMW?

CMW?

Ooh, Crystal Magic Weapon? I've actually never found that sorcery. Where is it?

MLGS or OGS with CMW.

Velka's Weapon and the CMW both seem a bit far off even when I rush ahead of where I'm supposed to be. Should I stick with my dagger now and upgrade it?

From big hat logan in the Dukes Archieve. Btw i only use that aswell if i play INT. Basically antything +15 with CMW.

Well, almost every fast weapon is good with a buff. I'd suggest trying Ricard's Rapier, Painting Guardian Sword/Falchion or a Katana.

Magic vs Enchanted is a matter of just how heavily you're investing into intelligence compared to strength/dex. Higher Int values (~50 or so) will favor Enchanted, lower will favor Magic.

A lot of people will tell you to go with the basic upgrade path, but there's no reason you can't have one of each since normal and Magic/Enchanted use entirely separate materials. Magic/Enchanted weapons can't be buffed with the powerful weapon buff spells/items, but it's worth keeping one around just for the times you're feeling lazy, or just don't want your pace to be dictated by a timed buff. If you have a though fight coming up or just want to go ham then there's nothing stopping you from swapping out your +15 normal weapon.

As for weapon type, if you're looking to min/max your weapon buffs then go with something with a fast attack speed, since bufs provide a flat damage increase. Otherwise swing a bunch of weapons around and go with whatever feels best, weapons tend to be pretty well balanced. If you like the Uchi then use it, you're really not going to be at a disadvantage by doing so.

You can get magic weapon and great magic weapon in the mean time. You get the first from the mage that's trapped in lower undead burg and the second from the chandelier in Anor Londo. If you're doing a dex build you could buy a rapier from the undead merchant, try to farm for the balder side sword, or grab a falchion from one of the skeletons in the catacombs. These all can be found pretty early game and are light weight deax weapons.
