Can you copy a character save?
Can you do that? And have it show up in the load game screen with a duplicate of the character? I've got a build I really like, and want to make a copy. That way I can do PvP with it at its current level on the copy, and progress normally in the original.

download latest technojacker Cheat Engine table there you can assign your current character to diffirient save slots - so copying is normally possible

The save file itself is a single file containing all characters. So you probably will have to use third party software to "clone" characters inside it, from one character slot to another.

wait a minute. is it possible to move different save files into one ? thus having one savefile with different characters in save slots instead of different save files.?

I looked into it but had no idea what were the save files in the common folder. Would making a copy of the common folder work?

I wish people use it for good purpose like yours of copying saveslots and not for cheating.

is there a tutorial on how to do it?
Abyss___Walker May 22, 2016 @ 8:41am
No, its simple. Load your save in which you want to import all character>press import save button (its above)>locate save from which the character is to be copied>select slot to load from>select slot to copy to>save

its not working for me, im trying to merge my sl 125 and sl 61 save files in one save file with 2 different save slots. ah well, sounded too good to be true. eveything works in the exe, but when i start dark souls i cant seem to find it in loading part.
this wouldve been great,
Instead of having to close dark souls and drag the save file to NBGI everytime i want to switch characters.

Ok i've not tested it thoroughly, so ill do it and post the solution. Just give me time till tomorrow.

Also just in case, both your save files should be from same game version.
Sunscreen Addict May 22, 2016 @ 10:30am

Ok, so here's how I've done it. As Abyss pointed out, your save file in located in Documents>nbgi>darksouls. The save file is called DRAKS0005.sl2. This contains ALL your saves. What you do is:
1.Make a copy of DRAKS0005.sl2
2. Place the copy in another folder (I called my Dark Souls Save)
3. Make sure there is only 1 save file in the nbgi>darksouls folder. If there's 2, the game will crash because the game is programmed to constantly overwrite a file named DRAKS0005.sl2
4. Switch out the copies whenever you want to switch between PvP or PvE. Just always make sure there is 1 file and that it's called DRAKS0005.sl2
