+15 normal gargoyle halberd or +15 Great sythe for dex build?

The Halberd has a greater base damage but i think its slower? The sythe has less base but better scaling with dex, which is better?

Great Scythe, the Gargoyle Halberd has very bad scaling. However, you could try the normal Halberd, it has much better (Dex) scaling, than the Gargoyle one.

Great scythe, hands down. Moreover it can also proc bleeding as well, so a great bonus right there.

just pick any weapon that you like with an A rate which scale with DEX and you will have lot's of fun, just pick something that fit's you play style.

i started using the balder side and the uchigatana, i love both.


Just take into consideration that:

Bigger weapons will have an slow moveset, an greataxe will attack slower than an Axe and an katana will be faster than an axe, for the longer range weapons the spear is problably the fastest. Test then all without upgrading, and choose the one that fit's your style.

there is 4 rules regarding weapons in dark souls;

1 - you are going elemetal or stat scaling ? (by your post you choose stat scaling, DEX);
2 - which weapon moveset you like the most? (you want to attack fast, slow ..);
3 - do you look cool? (bc fashion souls my friend);
4 - there is no rules, ust have fun with whatever you have at your disposal.
